Camp Stories

I had no idea the camp was going to be so much fun! I was excited to get my hunter safety license, but Everything about it was great. It was literally the best thing I did all summer!

- Macey Grissom, Age 13

At first I didn't want to go to camp. I thought that I was going to be alone & the only girl. I was so nervous. But when I got to camp, I didn't only just have fun & learn so much. I met some awesome people that ended up becoming my friends. I got to do some amazing things like shooting a rifle, trap shooting, fishing, and archery. We got to see and pet the dogs too! My experience at the KOSC camp was something I will never forget. And something that was so fun, I didn't want to go home at the end. And to think I was so nervous to go! I can't wait for the next camp!

KOSC has helped me become a better hunter and learn the importance of being ethical. I love the energy and the people there, as they make the camp 100 times better than any of the other camps I’ve been to.

Its with great pleasure that I write this letter of review. We were fortunate enough to rely on our friends and their kids that have gone through your camps and course work to get their hunter safety. That said, with the excellent feedback that we got, we signed our son (Blake Zanger) up to go through the course back in June 2019. We were a bit nervous due to his academic challenges, but he passed the exam with a solid score. The camp leaders really seem to care about the kids well being, their understanding about firearms, etc and really take a cautious approach throughout the week to ensure that your child form a great sense of respect for hunting/fishing. I can't say enough about this camp, and I HIGHLY encourage your family to consider their camp & course, it's fantastic!
