About Beginner Camp

Beginner Camp is the 1st level of our Outdoor Conservation Explorer program

Beginner Camp is the 1st level of our Outdoor Conservation Explorer program

Welcome! During this week your kiddos will engage in a Hunter Education Course, and if they pass the test they will earn their Hunters Education Certificate. Our camps are staffed with high level instruction from our top-notch instructors and range safety officers (RSO’s) to help the youth to obtain their hunters education certificate.

Throughout the week campers will learn the material through time in the classroom, lessons, and presentations. Also, even more importantly they will have hands-on experience with fishing, hunting, archery, and conservation skills. Campers will take the skills they learn throughout the weeks and gather knowledge in safety, as well as equipment handling.

Don’t forget the fun! On our down time campers will be able to swim, hangout, play cards, and more depending on location. Our goal is to help the next generation get more involved in the outdoors, hunter community, safety, to be responsible, and understand the importance of a hunter in the world of conservation.

extra things to know:

  • When registering for beginner camp you will need to get a GO ID# for your camper and email to us RIGHT AWAY, so we can get them into the system properly and our Hunter Education Teacher can send over a study guide.
  • All of our camps are overnight (sleep away) and run from Sunday afternoon – Friday afternoon. (6 days/5 nights)
  • Drop off is usually around 2:30 pm Sunday and pick up around 12/12:30 Friday with a 12:30/45 awards ceremony ——- THIS CAN VARY YEAR TO YEAR
