KOSC through the Mzuri Wildlife Foundation, of which she has been a member for years. She had been in talks with then Executive Director Jen O’Hara to put together a KOSC camp at friend Joe Bullock’s Six Point Ranch when the pandemic hit.A true lover of all things outdoors, early pursuits included 2x Outward Bound alumnus, NOLS courses, numerous backcountry expeditions, rock climbing, wilderness survival instruction, water sports instruction: skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, rafting. An avid hunter, she has amassed a collection of over 78 species of big game from hunting on 5 continents, including the African Big Five, Dangerous Seven, and holds several SCI records; 5 in the Top 10. Hunting has taken her all over the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, & 13 safaris in Africa, all with her father, Arnie (quite an accomplished hunter himself!
As a Paramedic with specialized training in wilderness medicine, technical rope rescue, swift-water rescue, and urban search & rescue, Hilary applies experience & knowledge to outdoor pursuits. In addition to working trauma, Hilary is a Level 2 Coach for Unites States Swimming & United States Water Polo, turning athletes into champions daily.
She is currently on the Board of Directors (President-Elect) for her SCI Chapter, Director of her DU chapter’s Greenwing Expo, a lifetime SCI member, lifetime NRA member, sits on the Executive Committee for the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum, the NRA Nominating Committee, & NRA Youth & Shooting Sports Committee.
When not working, you can find Hilary in her backyard shooting range, wakeboarding or fishing at the lake, or anywhere outside having an epic adventure somewhere!
